TWICE将于3月10日发行新迷你专辑《READY TO BE》及主打曲《SET ME FREE》。

TWICE在2022年6月凭借组合首位SOLO成员NAYEON的迷你1辑《IM NAYEON》和8月完整体迷你专辑《BETWEEN 1&2》在美国公告牌主排行榜"Billboard 200"上分别实现了K-POPSOLO艺人首次进入榜单前10名、K-POP女子组合史上最多进入前10名的好成绩，再次证明了"全球顶级女子组合"的地位。

在新专辑发布之前,于1月20日率先发行了先公开英语单曲《MOONLIGHT SUNRISE》。该音源在2月4日(当地时间)Billboard主排行榜"Hot100"中获得第84位，继2021年10月首张原创英语单曲《The Feels》之后,创下了第二次进入"Hot 100"的记录，将人们对于收录该歌曲的新专辑发行期待值提到了最高。

继2022年在全球获得的好成绩及先公开英语单曲的热潮之后，全新迷你专辑《READY TO BE》是突出表现关于打破世界的视线和偏见，完成迎接真正"自我"准备的TWICE坚定决心的作品，并以前所未有的魅力邀请全世界的听众来感受。

主打曲《SET ME FREE》是一首包含在感受到能够唤醒隐藏在内心真正自我的爱意后,决心"为了守护这份感情,我会赌上一切"的充满决心和进取信息的歌曲。 Groovy的基调和雄壮的string、简单又有力的sound十分突出，细腻地表现出危险又大胆感情的声线抓住了听者的耳朵。曾经创作出《I CAN'T STOP ME》、《CRY FOR ME》、《SCIENTIST》的作曲家Melanie Fontana和Lindgren作曲,曾合作《Heart Shaker》的GALACTIKA*参与了作词。

这张专辑将Opening Trailer、预告片和MV连接为一体,更加有效地展现出TWICE的变身。 在Opening Trailer和预告中确信已经做好了寻找"自我"的准备，将包裹自身的所有装饰卸下，素颜登场，尽情享受自由，从MV开头就感受到的刺激解放感，如同将观众带入一部电影中。

《SET ME FREE》MV集中表现了摆脱周围各种视线和关系所带来的不便,探索变化的TWICE的脚步。似乎被某种东西所束缚而感到郁闷的她们，在相信自身以及彼此之后,变得更加自由,不受框架的束缚，通过横穿布景以及亲自拍摄的胶片场面连接等突显主体性的表现方式来完成作品。借用一部名为《SET ME FREE》的电影，活用电影构成,通过"爆破"装置将观众指引到现实中的亮点，倍增新鲜感，面对真实的自己时她们所展现的灿烂微笑净化了所有人的心。

此次新专以主打歌《SET ME FREE》为首,收录了包含先公开英文单曲《MOONLIGHT SUNRISE》、《GOT THE THRILLS》、《BLAME IT ON ME》、《WALLFLOWER》、《CRAZY STUPID LOVE》和《SET MERE FREEE》英语版本等共7首歌曲，满足了国内外粉丝们的期待。

迷你12辑是由制作《Talk that Talk》的collapsedone和包括MRCH在内的世界级制作团队LDN Noise、制作众多海外优秀艺人歌曲的Lostboy和创作歌手Tayla Parx等海内外著名作家团队合力所完成。特别是一直在专辑Credit中出现的成员DAHYUN这次也担任了专辑第四首歌曲《BLAME IT ON ME》和第六首歌曲《CRAZY STUPID LOVE》的单独作词，发挥了自身的能力。

今年正式出道9年的TWICE将通过迷你12辑《READY TO BE》和主打歌《SET ME FREE》迎来新的转折点。作为2023年的首次回归，带来与以往180度不同的独具光环的新专的她们，将重新定义"TWICE"，通过更加酷炫和自信的样貌活跃在全球舞台上。
