Swisha-T, or Taleb Mansour, as known by his friends, is a writer and rapper from the Ottawa area. Swisha-T spent his formative years in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan where he cultivated a love and appreciation of rap music. In his later teen years this appreciation transformed into a realization that he too can express himself through this outlet. Lacking interest in school he put all his energy into writing and began recording in a makeshift home studio. Overtime, his online fan base grew; he began working in real studios, and eventually collaborating with the likes of Ghostface Killah and Madchild.

After two Canadian tours in 2013, where he opened for Wu-Block in 13 cities, and for Method Man and Redman in Eastern Canada, Swisha-T’s live performances have achieved level of professionalism and presence that is not to be ignored. Swisha-T’s unique tone compliments his fast-spitting in-your-face lyrics. In addition to rapping, Swisha-T releases music video’s to bring further life to his music, these videos display his simple signature style and at times his sense of humour. Swisha-T’s video for his song Flowetry has had over 200,000 views in its time on YouTube. He would describe his influences to include Tupac, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, DMX, and Big L.

Swisha-T’s music is his life; he is a talented live performer with a polish and confidence that prove he is destined for greatness. This fall will be a busy one for Swisha-T with his new single “Ballistic” featuring Madchild with a corresponding music video to be released.
